
Black Glass Artist Series Arthur Wilson
The Black Glass Artists Series guest artist Arthur Wilson will be in Alfred the week of 2/17/2025 with demonstrations and artist lectures. Demonstrations will take place in the glass studio on February 18th and 20th from 1:30-3:30pm. Arthur Wilson received his BFA from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2017. He is now currently practicing his craft at his home studio in Mableton, Georgia. Arthur’s work critiques various socio-political issues such as food insecurity , labor politics and the Rapid growth of technology.
Wilson also has a passion for teaching. He has taught and TA’d at the Corning Museum of Glass and Penland School of Craft, while also teaching workshops in his local community. He has received residencies to attend the Pilchuck Glass School and Pittsburgh Glass Center.
